The Oklahoma Association for the Education of Young Children (OKAEYC) strongly supports accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) for programs serving children birth through five years of age.
Quality early care and education is essential for the future success of Oklahoma’s children. NAEYC Accreditation is an outstanding measurement of quality early childhood programs, and the accreditation process helps Oklahoma child care centers to improve the quality of early care and education.
Benefits of being a NAEYC Accredited Program:
- Helps to build a stronger team of teachers, administrators, and families working together to improve quality for children
- Improved standards for the overall program
- Recognition through NAEYC, including program listing on the NAEYC website in the Program Search section
