Susanne Schreiber

Rep. Suzanne Schreiber, elected as State Representative for District 70 in 2022, serves on several committees and has a strong focus on children's well-being. With a law degree and a background in political science, she has authored significant legislation, including HB 2452, supporting family childcare providers. A former Tulsa School board member and Tulsa Woman of the Year in 2016, Schreiber prioritizes people over politics, advocating for Oklahoma's children.

Dr. Barbara Sorrels

Dr. Sorrels' passion for helping vulnerable children began at age 14 in Washington, D.C., when she volunteered at a hospital. Over the years, she has worked as an educator, founded early childhood centers, and launched The Institute for Childhood Education in 2004 to provide consulting and professional development for educators. She later founded Connected Kids, offering compassionate, evidence-based strategies for children facing trauma. Living in Tulsa, Dr. Sorrels is a devoted mother and grandmother.

Katy Keith

Katy Keith is a 2024 graduate of Purcell High School. She enjoys playing tennis, reading, and working out. In the fall of 2024, she will be attending The University of Central Oklahoma to pursue a degree in elementary education. Katy wants to go into education to make a difference in the lives of students who may not receive love and guidance at home. As a future teacher, she aims to positively impact her students' futures. She is grateful for the support that has helped her achieve her goals.

Kristy Larsen

Kirsty has devoted a considerable amount of time to enhancing the well-being of children and families throughout her career. With over four years in the childcare sector, she has worked diligently while also pursuing her education, successfully earning her associate degree and now advancing towards a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. Her strong commitment to her work and advocacy for the rights and needs of all families and children her passion for making a positive impact in their lives, which is why she has been recognized with the OKAEYC Professional Advancement Award. This award honors her dedication to professional growth and the continuation of quality care experiences for children, while the importance of networking within the early care and education community. As a member of the OKAEYC conference committee, she has assisted with several events, highlighting her commitment to professional growth and quality care.
